Selected Donor for Stem Cell, Bone Marrow

Selected Donor for Stem Cell, Bone Marrow

This is my story since I registered with Heart of America in 1991 for the National Marrow Donor Program. Here I will talk about the process and what it takes to be a donor. – you can view my feeds- I was not selected as a finalist, but continue to be active in talking about being a donor.

healthy adults can donate blood every 8 weeks, platelets 24 times per year, and plasma once a month. Have you? saved a life lately? donating blood only takes approx 30 minutes from start to finish. You can do it on your lunch break even

I am glad to say that I registered before I watched this video. I am always donating blood and wanted to do something else to help someone who might need more of my help and now I am more than excited that I registered. My husband also registered and we are both hoping? that we can save someones life. I have talked to friends and family and hopefully they will also register soon.
