An entire functional heart was created using a heart ‘shell’ and stem cells. This has been done in the rat & pig, with hopes of using a pig’s heart ‘shell’ for people. Livers, kidneys, and pancreas (much harder) are in the works. They “injected the empty sac with heart cells from newborn rats. Within days, the cells had multiplied to flesh out the heart, which began beating on its own. “We’ve taken organs from cadavers, removed all the cells, put cells back in and been able to reanimate what was previously a dead organ,” said molecular biologist Doris Taylor, director of the Center for Cardiovascular Repair at the University of Minnesota. “What that means, we hope, is that one day if you need a new organ, we’ll be able to take your cells, transplant them into this framework or scaffold and build you an organ that works for you,” she said. god gave us our talents to make use of it and be productive on this earth. to make better our lives. but when we abuse it for our own gains at the expense of another or use it for other malicious intent, God would see you fit for punishment (his wrath is truly unforgiving and painful unless you repent)
and when you have not wronged anyone but encounter problems in your life, God does so to further you in life (no pain no gain…you know the old saying)be strong and accept mistakes.
but if God’s gifts are abused… he will take it away from you through the most painful way possible. (king solomon used arcane knowledge to teach his wives how to use, and they in turn used it for their own gain and called themselves god…. god saw this bitterness and told solomon that his kingdom would be divided in two because he promised his father,david, that he wouldn’t destroy the israel)
actually its more like this. the reason we experience pain and suffering is because of the punishment of sin God put unto adam and eve after their betrayal in the garden of eden (read genesis…i’m tired of repeating old lessons)
But because they ate of the fruit of good and evil (knowledge), we learn to create and to destroy because of our need and understanding to gain and to accomplish.

Thank GOD! He has given man the knowledge to be able to do these outstanding miracles.
For those who are against these God given miracles and the people who are stopping this wonderful progress, tell us about it when you or someone very close to you needs help for something life threatening or debilitating.
Humans beings have been cloned. If not in the U.S. in other countries like China. It is possible and history shows that when something is possible it will be done, morals and laws be damned…
@Griesmayer alright then when has law stopped them before? the CIA has carried out plenty of illegal and immoral experiments and activities over the years…MK Ultra comes to mind. Laws and Morals never stopped them and it probably never will. They will use any and every technological advancement to their advantage in order to maintain their power and control. It’s not like it’s some secret.
@DoctorSess not morals, but law. If you’d clone a human, you’d be a criminal. And you cant clone a human in some back door dark alleyway where you wont get caught. You need modern apparatus that will attract the eyes of many.
@subliminalpain im not religious by any means, only spiritual. i think mankind’s spiritual maturity needs to catch up with its technological capabilities. instead of free energy we build bombs that destroy entire cities…we’ve got a long way to go. cutting edge technology in a child’s hands is a dangerous thing.
@Griesmayer thats only my belief. hahah if you think the government isn’t lying to us, well don’t even worry about it, don’t hurt ya head! human cloning is possible right now, today. if you can clone a pig, a sheep, a rat, a dog, a cat, a monkey…you can clone a human. do your homework. Obama addressed the issue saying something like “we wont clone human beings because it is morally questionable”. my question is when has morals ever stopped them before?

They aren’t talking about embryonic stem cells in this video. The embryonic stem cell debate is highly overblown anyways, as adult stem cell research is much more promising, as seen in this video.
Stem cell research is fascinating and exciting. The use of embryonic stem cells is very controversial of course, so something that really excites me is that researchers have found a way to basically despecialize some cells. These cells are called induced pluripotent stem cells. This stuff is so exciting. It’s just reprogramming already specialized cells which makes them act much like embryonic stem cells.

Why not take a dead persons heart and use that?
i am for this new type research yes stem cells is the way the go but my problem with this is why use an animal heart why they cant use a dead human heart what are they trying to imply that we are similar to animals and if that is the case we being intelligent creatures being classed in the same group as animals, this is highly offensive to the whole human race.

All throughout history religion has stood as a huge snag to human progress. If they had it their way we would still be living in a flat world with the sun revolving around us. I have nothing against religion i just dislike the establishment when you cut it down thats all that it is a private business just like any corporation difference is that their ceo is the son of god.
@oblivionfan12345 I don’t think you understand that THEY DIE ANYWAY! Thousands of embryos are frozen for possible implantation… MOST of them die! Why not use them to save lives?
ok, i have a solution, how about those people who want the treatment get it, and people who dont want it due to religious or ideological reasons just avoid it. Its win-win for both sides.
