wikct2; The difference is in the fact that we don’t have big private pharmaceutical firms to stop any development that restricts their profits! They do not care about helping people, their care about the profit and loss; they are run by accountants not scientists!

It is all about Leadership. If and when a particular country gets the right Leadership, Progress is not far behind. Iran is developing beyond belief. Very soon they will be the likes of Sweden, Germany and Japan. Non of these countries speak English, but they are all the standards of Innovation. Furthermore, they all have less population than USA.
Stem Cell Research is done in California with more money spent than anywhere else in the world. So, the ban is partial and misleading.

How come stem cell research is banned in US where it is claimed to be most advance in technology and idealogy. But Iran, on the other hand is not but it allows stem cell research. So where is the logic to this?
